Do you want to add real-time interaction to your ELMS course? Do you want to see how other faculty members use Wimba Live Classroom
to achieve instructional goals that can not be reached solely with Blackboard technology?
Come join our discussion on using Wimba Live Classroom in ELMS (powered by Blackboard Academic Suite), a fully-featured live
virtual classroom environment that supports audio, video, application sharing, content display, and whiteboarding. Dr. Helene Cohen will lead this
discussion and share her experience using this powerful tool. The OIT learning technologies team will also be available to answer your questions and
address your concerns about this tool.
The following are just some of the questions we will discuss.
- What are some of the challenges to integrate Live Classroom technology into teaching that you perceive or have experienced?
- How do you orient students to the process of taking classes in a live classroom environment?
- What do you do if you want to give a live class in different time zones?
- What new ideas do you have for using Wimba tools?
Please bring your own questions, thoughts, ideas, and insights to join us for this lunch discussion meeting.
This event is open for all faculty and staff who enjoy sharing their insights, experience, and ideas and like dialoging with others.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Please let us know if you have suggestions for topics for future Brownbag sessions. Ideas and inquiries can be sent to:
